Vcom + VAC for seamless integration of SDR

Hello,

to completion of the previous post here is another example of what can be done by connecting through various programs with a SDR virtual serial ports and, to introduce the subject, even with VAC: Virtual Audio Cable.

Above image showing running a real operating conditions, high performance and fully synchronized in all its components:
  • PowerSDR FLEX-5000A transceiver on
  • program LOG station: Logger32
  • CW Skimmer
  • Tmate
Behind it all is that CW Skimmer, using the Virtual Audio Cable, receives a stream of 96Khz PowerSDR full of information that appear as CW signals, identifying CALL - Frequency and speed of transmission.

The transceiver is tuned in the range of 40M, set for release in the CW and is controlled by CAT CW Skimmer: just click one of the signals on the waterfall display of CW Skimmer to automatically tune the signal on PowerSDR/FLEX-5000.

not all here as CW Skimmer has a telnet server with which it can transfer information to another program. In this case Logger32 received this information and shows them as coming from a DX Cluster, and highlighting the data cross-checking them with those of LOG of our links.
Again, again via Vcom, Logger32 FLEX-5000 can tune the frequency of a station of our interest reported on the DX cluster window.

Logger32 also operates the CW Keyer, from which you can transmitted directly without button, connected to
PowerSDR/FLex-5000 with a virtual serial port dedicated to the Keyer. To finish the

sistuazione shall Tmate that can be used to fine tune the VFO or, as in the figure, tune the VFO B for the possible transmission SPLIT.

In short the connections CAT: CAT
  • PowerSDR/FLEX-5000 with attivosu COM7
  • CW Skimmer / Logger32 / Tmate on COM8 (splitter COM7)
  • PowerSDR/FLEX-5000 with keyer port on COM5
  • Keyer
  • of Logger32 on COM6 (couples with COM5)
PowerSDR CW Skimmer and connected via Virtual Audio Cable to 96Khz to send the contents of the Spectrum I & Q.

Thanks for reading, next to the post analysis of the Virtual Audio Cable
